Unibind Teams With Kodak To Offer New Digital Imaging Solutions Customers Print Professionally-Bound Lay-Flat Hanging Calendars & Photo Albums from Kodak Kiosks Nationwide
Alpharetta, GA, February 8, 2008 - Peleman Industries, manufacturer of Unibind
high-quality binding, lamination and presentation products, announced
today that it has partnered with Eastman Kodak Company to offer
professional quality, lay-flat photobooks and calendars to customers
nationwide.
Through the Kodak/Unibind agreement, retailers are offering
Kodak-approved, lay-flat photobooks and calendars in-store from their
digital photographic prints using the latest Kodak Picture Kiosks,
Kodak software, and Unibind binding technology. The photo albums are
composed of materials screened for use with photographic media and are
offered as both hard and soft covers, with hardcovers finished in black
linen. The service went live at kiosks around the United States in
December 2007.
"We are proud of our relationship with Kodak," said Rusty Redecker,
Vice President of Photo for Unibind North America. "These books are a
combination of Unibind's binding technologies and Kodak's commitment to
image preservation. The books can be made in retail using any type of
photographic print. Books lay flat, are easy to assemble, and are
high-quality in appearance."
The collaboration between Unibind and Kodak is an example of how
photo-industry firms are responding to the digital-imaging revolution
and its impact on the retail photo industry. Technologies, such as
Kodak's kiosk software and Unibind's binding capabilities drive print
traffic in stores, increasing margins and offering more options for the
consumer. For more information, see www.unibind.com.
