Las Vegas, NV - Sunpak, a division of ToCAD America Inc. announces the new Sunpak PZ42X flash. A full featured, professional digital SLR flash but without the price of an OEM unit for digital and film cameras.

Compatible with the latest Canon E-TTL II or Nikon i-TTL DSLR cameras and it has many advanced features, such as automatic zoom head from 24-105mm, bounce and swivel capabilities, built in wide angle diffuser and AF assist. With a high guide number of 138 (ISO 100/feet), the PZ42X can provide outstanding illumination in any situation. It also offers a bright and easy-to-read LCD display and easy-to-use controls for manual flash output, digital or film lens coverage and zoom head settings. The Sunpak PZ42X is compatible with the latest Canon E-TTLII or Nikon i-TTL. The PZ42X is being displayed at PMA 2008, January 31 - February 2 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Booth C187.

The Sunpak PZ42X flash has a high guide number of 138 (ISO 100/feet) which is perfect for today's digital SLR cameras and with an auto focus assist for low light shooting up to 16 feet images will look sharp and clean. Flexibility is paramount with a bounce head with five settings and swivel feature of 180 degrees left and 120 degrees right, the PZ42X makes it easy to produce images with specialized lighting. The big, bright and easy-to-read LCD display and easy-to-use controls make operation simple and quick with easy to understand information. When using wide angle lenses in digital and film format, the built-in wide angle panel provides just the right light without light falloff at the edges for perfect results. To customize your lighting requirements the PZ42X has manual override settings for the flash head.

The PZ42X runs on 4 AA Alkaline, Ni-MH or Ni-Cd batteries and incorporates auto power standby and auto shutoff after five minutes thus eliminating unnecessary dead batteries.

The street price of the PZ42X in Canon and Nikon versions is $149.99 and is currently shipping.
