Nikon releases the COOLPIX L6 PDF Print E-mail

Nikon releases the COOLPIX L6: a quality, compact digital camera with simple operation and world-leading 1,000-shot performance

Amsterdam, The Netherlands: Nikon Corporation is pleased to announce the introduction of the COOLPIX L6. A digital compact camera offering powerful imaging performance, easy operation and outstanding battery life, the COOLPIX L6 allows users to shoot with greater confidence for better-looking results.

The latest addition to Nikon’s COOLPIX range is a slim, lightweight model with an impressive imaging performance of 6.0 megapixels. This is a truly dynamic camera; a focal range of 38 – 116mm makes it possible to accurately capture the detail and colour of both the smallest nature shot and the widest landscape panorama.

The COOLPIX L6 is set apart from industry competitors by its capacity to shoot an incredible 1,000 images when using the supplied Energiser lithium AA sized batteries, the longest battery life provided by any camera manufacturer, making this model the perfect companion for situations where you can’t afford to be let down by your camera.

The COOLPIX L6 is a flexible tool, delivering excellent performance under any set of demands. The ISO sensitivity with settings up to ISO 800 makes it possible for the photographer to shoot pictures in lower light without having to use a long exposure.

The camera is able to intelligently adjust images in order to achieve optimal results in any set of conditions. By simply selecting one of 15 Scene Modes most closely corresponding to the scene at hand, the COOLPIX L6 is able to automatically choose the best settings for the optimum results. Four of these handy Scene Modes also feature a Scene assist, which helps users to achieve better composition.

The COOLPIX L6 makes it simple to get great-looking results in challenging situations. Three unique in-camera Nikon image innovations adjust the image, detecting and correcting imperfections: Face Priority AF** automatically detects and achieves sharp focus on people’s faces wherever they are in the frame; In-Camera Red-Eye Fix automatically overcomes the red-eye effect sometimes caused by flash; and D-Lighting makes it possible to rescue underexposed images or shots taken with too much back-light.

Also included is a function which allows the user to connect the camera directly to PictBridge-compatible printers to produce beautiful photos without the need for a computer.

The COOLPIX L6’s intelligent functions ensures that the camera does all the hard work; you simply have to find your subject, and enjoy your perfect photos.
